Dr. Ron Camacho is the Chief of Police for the City of North Charleston, South Carolina—the state's third-largest city and a nationally recognized leadership expert with more than 30 years of law enforcement experience, including 17 years in executive leadership. He has built a reputation for building resilient organizations, developing exceptional leaders, and creating cultures rooted in accountability, trust, and service.

Before North Charleston, he served as Chief of the PLEAC-accredited Chambersburg Police Department from 2016 to 2024, where his approach drew national recognition. Police Magazine named him one of the year's Innovative Law Enforcement Leaders in 2023 for pioneering an officer wellness program, and Police Chief Magazine highlighted the department's Citizen Advisory Committee as a model for community engagement and transparency.

He previously commanded more than 90 officers and detectives as Patrol Operations Captain with the York City (PA) Police Department. Internationally, he has advised police agencies in Afghanistan and served as Deputy Program Manager in Mexico for a U.S. Department of State training initiative, leading teams of retired American law enforcement professionals strengthening policing capabilities abroad. Today he is a sought-after keynote speaker, executive consultant, and mentor whose work centers on one of leadership's most overlooked obstacles—ego—and how greater self-awareness builds stronger teams and better decisions.
